The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks (BPOE), also often known as the Elks Lodge or simply The Elks, is an American fraternal order founded in 1868, originally as a social club.  There are now over 1,900 local lodges across America and they operate legally as 501(c)(8) fraternal benefit orders.

 

The Fraternal Order was founded “To promote and practice the four cardinal virtues of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its members, to quicken the spirit of American Patriotism and cultivate good fellowship.”

 

The members make up a generous charitable foundation that gives back to the community each year with scholarships and grants, while promoting and supporting local youth and veterans’ programs throughout the county and state.

 

The McMinnville Elks Lodge is located in McMinnville just off HWY 99W,

What all this means is that we are a part of a group that works together to make a difference in our community and our country.  We respect our country and honor our flag and our military.  We take care of each other and help those who are in need when we are able.  We create a fun, safe environment where we can spend time with like minded people in our club.
